A JOURNEY BETWEEN TWO OCEANS BEGINS

The alarm will sound in the wee hours of the morn beckoning us to the airport for 4 a.m. I wonder: Is our low key, sort of international airport really open for business at that hour? It must be as our flight to Seattle departs at 5:30am. Will there be a huge, snaking line through security? I hope no one triggers alarm bells. Will Starbucks be open? Coffee will be needed give the hour of the day.Our Delta flight had better be on time as there is not a great stretch of transfer time at SEA TAC to make the Atlanta GA bound flight. There may not be time for coffee after all. By 8:00pm EDT we expect to meet up with our travelling companions in Miami FL, provided they survive the Everglade experience they have booked on our flight day.
Best travel time pals ever!
Friends for more than half a century we are embarking on this cruise together. It is their third jaunt on a big ship so we expect they must be seasoned ocean goers. I guess one could say it is our second cruise but I don't really count a 4 day cruise from Los Angeles to Ensenda 23 years ago as a real, get down and pampered kind of excursion. Chugging across the Straits on the BC Ferries certainly doesn't count. So Oceania Panana Cruise 2017 is being counted as our introduction to cruise life. The man has already had a good long perusal of the menus and wishes he had started a diet six months ago. Me too! He figures he might be saved from weight gain as the gym is only two decks above our stateroom. Stay tuned for more on that issue.
